In a vital effort to combat hepatitis in Nigeria, the Atlanticare Support Initiative, under the leadership of the State Lead Kaduna; Mr. T.Gabriel Kajo, successfully launched a free sensitization, screening, and vaccination program on 29th day of October, 2024 at Nasarawa community in Chikun Local Government Area.
This initiative aims to raise awareness about hepatitis, a viral infection that can lead to serious liver diseases, and to provide essential healthcare services to the community. The program includes educational sessions on prevention, the importance of vaccination, and early detection through screening.
The event drew a positive response from community members, who were eager to learn about hepatitis and participate in the screening and vaccination process. Mr. T.Gaberiel emphasized the importance of community engagement in public health initiatives, stating, “Together, we can reduce the burden of hepatitis in our communities through education and proactive healthcare measures.”
